Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar field.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Some experience with mining or the aggregate industry is a plus.
• Exposure to modeling software such as AutoCAD or Tekla is preferred.
• Electrical and automation experience is desirable.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Electrical Engineering Intern will be based out of Dolese’s corporate office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; you will have the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience and contribute to real‑world projects in the field of electrical engineering. You will work closely with our team of experienced engineers and professionals, learning from their expertise and guidance. This internship will provide you with valuable insights into the industry and help you develop your technical skills and knowledge.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Involved in research, design, development, testing and maintenance of aspects of manufacturing and installing electrical equipment, components, and systems.
• Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and components
• Conduct testing and analysis to ensure performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project execution
• Gain exposure to industry-standard tools and technologies
• Work closely with Design Build Firms to establish the mechanical and automation requirements for new aggregate plants and expanding existing plants
• Oversee the development of greenfield sites include roads, plant pad sites, railroad spurs, storm water management plans, and power distribution
• Manage project quality, schedule, and budget while ensuring stakeholder value is achieved
• Foster a safe work culture at every level of project involvement, from offsite vendors to managing onsite employees
• Estimate project cost utilizing historical data, vendor supplied data, and personal experience
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience

• Candidate must be working towards a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or similar field
• Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Some experience in mining or the aggregate industry preferred
• Previous exposure with modeling software (AutoCAD, Tekla or other Modeling Software) preferred
• Electrical and automation experience preferred
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of 3 phase high voltage power distribution, MCC, and electric drives/motors preferred Strong engineering and technical skills Ability to work independently with some guidance Excellent communication, observation, and reading comprehension skills Ability to engage and influence all levels of the organization Ability to multi-task and handle large workloads under time constraints Ability to understand and apply analytical and statistics tools Results-oriented with strong process and execution skills Must be able to work a flexible schedule Must have the ability to work outside for extended periods of time Currently possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lift objects repeatedly of various dimensions and up to 50 lbs. of weight
• Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and climb ladders
• Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
• Ability to tolerate working in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions
• Ability to repeatedly reach, squat, and tolerate prolonged standing/walking/sitting
• Ability to repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces
