Fenner Precision Polymers invites you to join the CI Ops Engineering Team for the Summer 2027 Electrical Engineer Intern program at our Lancaster county plant locations. Expect cross-functional projects, professional career development, and an end-of-term project presentation with the Executive Leadership Team.

You will assist with capital engineering projects, learn project governance, and gain exposure to AI-enabled tools, Lean manufacturing, and design collaboration with Fenner and partners.

Qualifications

• Teamwork, good communication skills, eager to learn, strong work ethic.
• MS Office proficiency and basic CAD tooling.
• Studies align with Mechanical, Industrial or Controls Engineering programs.
• 1 year of college/technical school in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand the requirements of executing Capital Engineering projects.
• Assisting with the execution of key project milestones and deliverables.
• Utilization of our project governance model and the importance of project tracking and communication of the status with key stakeholders.
• Develop proficiency in emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to support project work, data analysis, content creation, and operational efficiency under the guidance of team leaders.
• Participate in design collaboration and machine development with Fenner and its partners.
• Develop an understanding of Continuous improvement and LEAN manufacturing principles.

As part of the CI Ops Engineering Team, you will:

• Understand the requirements of executing Capital Engineering projects.
• Assisting with the execution of key project milestones and deliverables.

Core Competencies Required

• Team work, good communication skills, responsible, eager to learn, strong work ethic.
• Ability to use auto cad and or solid works
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products
• Studies that align with either Mechanical, Industrial or Controls Engineering programs.

Education and/or Relative Experience:

• A minimum of 1 year of college or technical school in a related field.
• Exposure to Manufacturing either through past full or part time employment or as part of the program they are enrolled in is a plus.
