Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern in Lexington, SC. You will support electrical projects to improve plant reliability, efficiency and safety, working with motors, controls and instrumentation.

Current students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field will contribute to preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and cross-functional improvements across plant operations. This role offers hands-on experience in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, and industrial equipment through coursework or hands‑on experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering projects that improve plant reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Assist with troubleshooting and analyzing electrical systems, motors, controls, and instrumentation.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations.
• Review electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to support project execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process and equipment improvements.
