Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern in Lexington, SC. The role involves supporting electrical projects to boost reliability, efficiency, and safety, and assisting with troubleshooting of electrical systems, motors, and instrumentation.

You will review electrical drawings, work with cross-functional teams, and engage in preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives on site.

Qualifications

• pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field
• foundation in electrical systems, instrumentation and controls
• strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering projects to improve plant reliability and safety
• Troubleshoot and analyze electrical systems, motors, controls, and instrumentation
• Participate in preventive maintenance and continuous improvement in plant operations
• Review drawings and technical docs to support project execution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process and equipment improvements
