Job summary

Amrize is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 at our cement plant in Hagerstown, MD. The 10-week paid internship begins June 1, 2027, and offers hands-on experience in cement production, working with a team of experienced engineers.

You will design, install, and maintain electrical systems, troubleshoot motors and PLC/SCADA, participate in preventive maintenance, and present findings to leadership at the end of the internship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate Electrical Engineering program or related field.
• Strong academic performance in engineering principles.
• Geographic flexibility to work at various sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems within the cement plant.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, including motors, control systems, and PLC/SCADA components.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for electrical systems.
• Work with automation systems and control panels to monitor plant processes.
• Support safety protocol implementation and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and professionals to achieve team goals.
• Present learnings and contributions to executive leadership at internship end.
