Teledyne Qioptiq in Miamisburg, Ohio is seeking an energetic Electrical Engineer Intern to join our Electrical Design Team. You will assist in the conceptual and detail design of Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESADs) and Ignition Safety Devices (ISDs) for missile programs.

The role involves assisting staff, performing circuit simulations, tests, spec and parts list preparation, and contributing to technical proposals.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience with analog circuit design is preferred.
Familiarity with Altium, OrCAD or PSpice is preferred.
Proficiency with MS Office is required.
Experience with military high-reliability programs and Military Standards is desirable.
U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Assist design teams in ESADs and ISDs for missile systems.
Participate in performance testing and manufacturability assessments.
Perform circuit simulations and analysis.
Assist in detail design, tolerance studies, and component selection considering shock, vibration, and thermal stress.
Prepare engineering specs and parts lists.
Write reports and assist in proposals.
Participate in design reviews, pre-production builds and testing.
Plan test procedures and conduct laboratory experiments.
