Job summary

Heidelberg Materials in Leeds, AL, is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to support projects that boost plant reliability and efficiency. You will assist with troubleshooting, testing, and analyzing electrical systems while collaborating with engineers, maintenance teams, and operations personnel.

The internship offers hands-on exposure to electrical systems, controls, and industrial equipment in a heavy manufacturing setting, with a mix of office and field activities and strict PPE

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, controls, or industrial equipment through coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering projects that improve plant reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and analyzing electrical systems and equipment.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers, maintenance teams, and operations personnel on plant projects.
• Collect, organize, and interpret technical data to develop practical solutions and recommendations.
