Job summary

Howe & Howe, a Textron Systems company, in Waterboro, ME, is seeking an Electrical Engineering intern for a 10-week summer program. You will create schematics in AutoCAD/SolidWorks, perform calculations, and support prototype builds and customer data packages.

The role focuses on design solutions for military-standard systems, offering mentorship, hands-on projects, and opportunities to network within Textron Systems.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field of study.
• No sponsorship (no visa required) to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Creating electrical schematics, harnessing design, and drawings in CAD systems such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Performing engineering calculations, writing specifications, formulating sketches, testing criteria, failure analysis, and cost estimates.
• Providing technical support to internal and external customers for technical data package delivery.
• Supporting prototype build, troubleshooting and documentation as required.
• Understanding customer requirements and providing design solutions.
• Familiarity with military standards and specifications and incorporating them into system design.
