Job summary

Zipline is seeking Electrical Engineering interns for in-person roles at our South San Francisco or Dallas offices. Spring 2027 interns will join full-time, January to April/May, and contribute to real-world projects alongside experienced engineers.

You'll work on battery charging electronics, ground support electronics, and test equipment, collaborating across software, hardware, and operations to enable reliable, scalable autonomous logistics.

Qualifications

• Must have at least completed the second year of your Undergraduate studies.
• Designed and tested a custom circuit board (even if it didn’t work).
• Worked on a project that moved under its own power and collaborated with others.

Responsibilities

• Prototyping battery charging electronics for harsher environments in new countries.
• Architecting ground support electronics to assist take-off and landing.
• Developing and deploying test equipment such as EOLs for design validation.
• Supporting design validation campaigns for avionics reliability.
• Root cause investigation for test, flight, or field issues.
