Job summary

Zipline seeks Electrical Engineering interns for full-time, in-person roles at our South San Francisco or Dallas offices. You’ll work as a full member of the team on projects that align with company goals and mission to deliver life-saving drone logistics.

We value engineers who can design and test circuit boards, collaborate in small groups, and communicate clearly with software, hardware, and operations teams. Summer 2027 interns welcomed.

Qualifications

• Must have at least completed the second year of your Undergraduate studies.
• You've designed and tested a custom circuit board (even if it didn’t work).
• You've worked on a project in or out of school that moved under its own power (e.g., vehicle or mechanism).
• You've collaborated on the above two things as part of a group (club, team, job, or with friends).
• In your application, include a sample of work or a note about your prior experience and how it relates to the three points above.

Responsibilities

• Work on real projects aligned with team goals and Zipline priorities.
• Prototype and test electronics such as battery charging systems for new countries.
• Architect ground support electronics to assist air vehicle operations (take-off/landing).
• Develop and deploy test equipment for design validation and production.
• Support design validation campaigns to ensure avionics meet requirements.
• Lead root cause investigations for test, flight, or field issues.
