Black & Veatch Family of Companies offers a Summer Intern position in Electrical Engineering within the Clean Transportation group. You will support the development of electrical deliverables, assist with analyses and designs, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on diverse infrastructure projects.

This internship requires current enrollment in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program, with no prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Relevant coursework in Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery or Three Phase Power Calculations.
• Understanding of engineering design principles and design guides.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing electrical engineering deliverables (reports, drawings, specifications, studies).
• Assist with engineering analyses, designs, and report production.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and schedule project deliverables.
• Organize and evaluate data, using computer modeling to analyze systems.
• Organize project materials, references and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

No experience required. Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Electrical Engineering program. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Work Environment

This intern position is expected to be in the office on a full-time basis.
