Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Reston, Virginia to diagnose complex electrical systems, assess vulnerabilities, and support infrastructure decisions. You will collaborate with internal teams, apply CAD/BIM tools, and ensure compliance with building codes across multi-disciplinary facilities.

Qualifications

US citizen with TS/SCI clearance required.
BS in Electrical Engineering; 4+ years of experience or MS with 2+ years of experience.
Proficient in CAD and BIM tools for electrical design.
Familiar with MEP, fire protection, communications, and security systems.
Ability to apply building codes and standards in design and assessment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose complex electrical system issues and respond to customer requests.
Assess functionality of electrical systems and outline vulnerabilities and cascading effects.
Provide technical support to internal teams and leadership for infrastructure decisions.
Develop, interpret, and implement software and AI tools for facility condition assessments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors for service delivery.
Provide electrical engineering inputs on design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance.
Review building power distribution, communications, controls, telecommunication and security systems.
Design electrical systems to support power, communications, HVAC, fire protection and water systems.
Perform studies to determine vulnerabilities across disciplines.
Develop SOPs for design, testing, and development of electrical equipment and systems.
