Job summary

Exco Electric is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of industrial power and control systems. This role focuses on hands-on design work, electrical system analysis, and creating detailed documentation for manufacturing and field operations.

The ideal candidate has experience in designing industrial power distribution, with proficiency in SOLIDWORKS Electrical, and a strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and IEC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing industrial power distribution and control systems.
• Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS Electrical (2D/3D) or similar software.
• Knowledge of power system analysis tools such as ETAP, SKM, or equivalent.
• Understanding of electrical codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Design medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems.
• Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Design and specify equipment including transformers, switchgear, and control panels.
• Perform fault current, voltage drop, and arc flash analysis.
• Create and maintain BOMs, parts lists, and engineering documentation.
• Support PLC panel design and wire routing within enclosures.
• Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and IEC standards.
• Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and implementation of electrical systems.
