Job summary

REEL USA Corp. invites an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Springfield design office. You will collaborate with the Canada-based Design Office to design, integrate, and implement tailor-made mechanical equipment to meet exact customer specifications.

You will create electrical plans and schematics, prepare calculations, and support factory and site tests while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team in a growing manufacturing environment in the U.S.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA standards and local codes.
• Ability to travel to Canada occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical plans/schematics for overhead material handling systems.
• Produce functional descriptions and calculations.
• Prepare purchase requests.
• Document completed projects (operation and maintenance manual).
• Prepare and participate in factory tests.
• Provide remote preparation and support for site tests.
• Provide technical assistance to the customer.
