Job summary

Sierra Peaks is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for our manufacturing division. You will design, develop, and optimize electrical systems, including power distribution and control circuits tailored for high-precision production.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams will emphasize robust PCB layouts and rigorous testing. The role requires hands-on proficiency with Altium Designer for schematics and PCB layout, as well as LabVIEW for data acquisition and automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with electrical design and power distribution in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in Altium Designer for PCB layout and schematic capture.
  • Hands-on LabVIEW experience for electrical testing and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems and components for manufacturing.
  • Create PCB layouts and electrical schematics using Altium Designer.

About the Role:

As an Electrical Engineer within the manufacturing sector, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing electrical systems that support power distribution and control. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create innovative electrical designs, including PCB layouts, that meet rigorous industry standards. This role demands a strong focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement to address complex electrical challenges in a dynamic production environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience with electrical design and power distribution in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in Altium Designer for PCB layout and schematic capture.
  • Hands-on experience with LabVIEW for electrical testing and automation.
Qualifications:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with advanced protective relay coordination and settings.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IEEE, NEC, and NEMA.
  • Knowledge of automation and control systems.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
