Job summary

ITW EAE is seeking an electrical engineering professional to research, sustain, and design electrical control systems for Wave Solder and Cleaning equipment, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and customer specifications.

The role requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and 5–7 years of related experience, with responsibilities spanning from concept through product launch, including thorough documentation and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5-7 years of related electrical engineering experience, design calculations for sizing equipment, component selection and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, fabricate, test, and evaluate electrical/electronic components, circuitry, and systems used in electronic and electromechanical equipment.
• Define I/O mapping and configure, test, and tune machine control systems, including PID control, VFDs, and motion control components.
• Design and test PC-based computer interfaces and work with computer suppliers to establish hardware specifications for machine applications; create and deploy custom Windows images as required.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineering, software engineering, technical support, project management, and other functions throughout all phases of projects.
• Plan, organize, and execute technical projects, monitoring progress, identifying potential schedule disruptions, and coordinating engineering resources to ensure timely completion.
• Provide electrical engineering support and troubleshooting to manufacturing, technical support, field service, sales, and customers related to product design, testing, installation, operation, and performance.
