Job summary

Meade is seeking an Electrical Engineer III who designs electrical systems for data centers, offices and industrial facilities. The role requires 4+ years of experience, strong knowledge of building codes, and a penchant for mentorship within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include design calculations, submittal reviews, field observations, commissioning, and coordinating with EORs. Python coding experience is a plus, along with SKM, AutoCAD, and Revit proficiency.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• PE license preferred, not required.
• Experience in load planning and programming a plus.
• Python coding experience a plus.
• Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects.
• Experience working independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff.
• Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards.
• Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large scale standby and emergency power systems, and generator controls.
• Experience with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred.

• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and prepare record drawings; conduct site visits and commissioning.

The scope of projects will include data centers, industrial buildings, offices and other high-profile construction projects. This role will be highly collaborative amongst Meade staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines.
