Sierra Nevada Company, LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. The role involves circuit card assembly development, wiring design, and rigorous validation across multi-disciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of related experience, plus familiarity with EWIS, FMEA/SSA concepts, and CAD/CAE tools.

  • Advanced proficiency in electrical/electronic design and validation techniques.

  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
  • Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Exposure to EWIS requirements and related electrical/system guidelines.
  • Exposure to FMEA and SSA concepts.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience withComputer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace and defense industry standards and practices.
  • Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
  • Experience composing an Electrical Load Analysis (ELA).
  • Experience with circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes.
  • Familiarity with Effects (EME) to include Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
  • Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL).
  • Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture.
  • Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools.

  • Clearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.
  • Ability to understand technical documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic instrument measurements.
  • Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $98,633.53 - $135,621.11. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
