About This Opportunity

The Electrical Engineer II provides leadership and guidance to Engineering and Design personnel in the proper application of design standards and code requirements. The role involves offering technical guidance to cross-functional teams, including internal and external resources. The Engineer II will collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, and other departments to meet customer specifications.

Global Finishing Solutions (GFS) is the leading manufacturer of paint booths and finishing systems for various industries. Our strength lies in custom-building finishing equipment tailored to each customer's needs. Our work spans sales, engineering, marketing, and manufacturing, creating an exciting and diverse work environment. This position is based in Osseo, WI, and relocation assistance is offered for candidates outside the area. We are located twenty minutes from Eau Claire, WI, and just under two hours east of Minneapolis, MN. Join our collaborative, laid-back, and family-oriented environment.

What You Will Do

  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform engineering tasks, adhering to standards
  • Provide technical leadership to drafting, sales, purchasing, manufacturing, installation, and customer service teams, supporting troubleshooting efforts
  • Lead or participate in multi-disciplinary product development and corrective action teams to address cost, quality, and delivery concerns
  • Support installation and start-up at customer sites via phone and in-person interactions
  • Conduct research and development to value engineer standard products and introduce new offerings
  • Enhance processes and procedures to improve accuracy, quality, and efficiency
  • Participate in technical reviews throughout all project phases, from proposal to production release
  • Analyze airflow, heating, lighting, and mechanical aspects of designs
  • Design complex control systems integrating hardware and software, including HMI and PLC programming
  • Travel to job sites for start-up and commissioning of equipment
  • Ensure designs comply with NFPA, UL, NEC codes

What You Have to Offer

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with 3-8 years of experience; or Master’s Degree with 0-6 years; or an Associate Degree with 10-15 years of experience
  • Good general knowledge of core products, technologies, and standards
