Job summary

MLC, headquartered in St. Louis, MO, is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to design and implement reliable electrical power, automation, and process control systems for our lime facilities.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within a collaborative, global organization. You will lead projects from concept through startup, work with process engineers, and develop instrumentation standards while updating drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent
• 5–10 years of electrical engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing settings
• Experience managing engineering or capital improvement projects
• Experience with electrical system design, industrial controls, and PLC/HMI programming

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and process control projects from concept through startup and commissioning.
• Develop and manage project scope, budgets, schedules, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Design, program, and optimize industrial control and automation systems.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers to improve process performance and control strategies.
• Evaluate, specify, and implement instrumentation and control technologies.
• Support power distribution projects, including system studies and capacity assessments.
• Coordinate installation activities with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Maintain and update electrical drawings, standards, and technical documentation.
