Job summary

SimpliSafe is seeking an engineer to contribute to security-focused product design from concept to production. You will work with mechanical, firmware, industrial design, sourcing and product management to validate requirements, costs and schedules.

The role emphasizes low-power embedded systems and mass production readiness. You will participate in design reviews, testing strategies and risk mitigation, while traveling to manufacturing partners as needed and staying current with emerging tech

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant industry experience, ideally with consumer products.
• Experience optimizing designs for battery operation and low power consumption.
• Experience in designing complex systems from concept to mass production.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the full lifecycle design of security-focused products from concept through production.
• Analyze tradeoffs affecting performance, cost, risk and schedule and escalate to leads.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, industrial design, sourcing and product teams.
