Job summary

SimpliSafe is hiring engineers to assist design, test, and document security-focused products. You will analyze tradeoffs, collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and product teams, and help drive prototypes through testing.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 1+ years of experience (internships count), and exposure to embedded interfaces and RF tech is a plus. Travel to partners in China 1–3 times/year; hybrid office/home flexibility offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of industry experience (internships or co-ops count).
• Low-power/battery electronics experience is a plus.
• Exposure to RF or embedded interfaces is a plus.
• Travel to manufacturing partners in China 1-3 times per year.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, testing, and documentation of security-focused products.
• Analyze design alternatives and surface tradeoffs in performance, cost or schedule.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on assigned tasks.
• Help execute the product development process from prototyping through testing.
• Build and run prototype tests and troubleshoot issues.
• Assist with design reviews and material preparation for reviews.
