Job summary

Clayco is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to develop detailed electrical installation drawings for building systems and provide engineering support during construction in our St. Louis, MO office.

You will work on industrial, commercial, and healthcare projects, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and Clayco standards. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of experience, with proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of applicable experience.
• FE exam (Fundamentals of Engineering) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of NEC and Building Codes is required.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks required.
• Familiarity with ETAP/SKM/EasyPower is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed electrical designs for power distribution and lighting.
• Create power, grounding, lighting plans, single-line diagrams, and panel schedules in Revit/AutoCAD.
• Specify electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and panels.
• Perform short circuit, ampacity, and voltage drop calculations.
• Produce load studies and service size estimates; support BIM modeling.
