Starkey Hearing in Eden Prairie, MN, is hiring an Electrical Engineer II for Continuation Engineering to support CERs, collaborate with R&D, and ensure design control and compliance for released products. The role focuses on electrical/acoustic changes, production readiness, and sustaining engineering aligned with product specs.
The position requires strong CAD, circuit simulation, DSP knowledge, and cross-functional communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field; OR Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Two years of experience in hearing aid design or product development environment (BS); One year with MS.
- Knowledge of schematic/layout CAD, circuit simulation, and PCB analysis tools.
- Understanding of DSP, analog/digital electronics, acoustics, and product development best practices.
Responsibilities
- Execute CERs – Electrical/EA Scope and lead or support CERs involving electrical and electro-acoustic changes.
- Collaborate with R&D for specification-impacting changes with proper design control and approvals.
- Interpret and apply U.S. and international hearing aid standards to sustaining engineering.
- Define or update electrical and acoustic requirements for CE changes.
- Design and verify electrical changes: schematics, PCBs, PCBAs; acoustic design updates; verify performance against requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during CE execution or production; support transfer of changes into production.
