Job summary

RTX is seeking an innovative and highly driven Electrical Engineer to join our Computing Products Hardware team within the Computing Products group. You will contribute across the product lifecycle, from design to production and service support.

Responsibilities include complex microprocessor and FPGA board design, ensuring cost-effective, manufacturable, and testable solutions while maintaining DO-160/DO-254 compliance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with hardware/software/systems integration.

Responsibilities

• Support products at all phases of the product lifecycle (design & development, transition to production, factory support, service support)
• Execute complex microprocessor and FPGA based circuit board design including schematic capture, part selection, and simulation
• Implement designs optimized for cost, manufacturability and testability
• Ensure designs comply with DO-160 and DO-254 standards
• Prepare and present project technical information to peers and customers
• Lead development of project plans, schedules and budgets
• Track progress and resolve obstacles to minimize disruptions to schedules
• Monitor project costs and re-estimate monthly to maximize performance

What You Will Do:

• Support products at all phases of the product lifecycle (design & development, transition to production, factory support, service support)

• Implement designs that are optimized for a balance of cost, manufacturability and testability
• Implement designs that are in strict compliance to DO-160 and DO-254 standards
• Prepare and present project technical information to peers and internal/external customers
• Leads the development of project plans, schedules and budgets
• Tracks progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations
• Monitors costs and re-estimates project costs on a monthly basis to maximize project predictable performance

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field ?
• Experience with hardware/software/systems integration

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
