Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Rock Hill, SC is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to provide design and analysis for nuclear products and projects. You will report to the Manager, Large Project Electrical Systems & Equipment and be located in Rock Hill, SC.

The role offers a hybrid on-site work arrangement. Apply core electrical engineering knowledge to develop electrical system designs, instrumentation and controls, and coordinate with other departments and clients to ensure project success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Willing to travel to client sites.
  • Experience with power projects.
  • Experience developing procurement specifications for electrical commodities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering design and analysis for nuclear products and projects.
  • Use software such as ETAP, Mathcad, Maximo or similar.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to obtain information for work assignments.
  • Plan and schedule work to meet assignment requirements.
  • Work with client and site personnel to resolve project issues.
  • Develop engineering design documents and technical evaluations.

About The Role

As an Electrical Engineer II you will provide engineering design and analysis for nuclear products and projects.

You will report to the Manager, Large Project Electrical Systems & Equipment and be located in Rock Hill, SC. You will be hybrid.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use intermediate knowledge obtained from previous applicable experience and core college courses.
  • Work with Software Packages such as ETAP, Mathcad, Maximo, or similar.
  • Provide engineering design and analysis for nuclear products/projects including electrical system design, instrumentation and controls designs, and system wiring.
  • Work with other internal departments on similar engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments.
  • Plan and schedule work to meet assignment requirements.
  • Use standards, techniques, procedures, and criteria for development of engineering design documents including technical evaluations, obsolete parts equivalencies, calculations, and specifications necessary to support operating plants.
  • Work with other internal departments on similar engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments.
  • Work with client and site personnel to resolve issues germane to project success.
  • Plan and scheduling work to meet assignment requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Willing to travel to client sites
  • You will be asked to meet the criteria for access to our, partners', and clients' technologies
  • Demonstrate knowledge of power plant systems and equipment
  • Experience with power projects
  • Experience developing procurement specifications for various electrical commodities and reviewing proposals

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $69,200 to $86,500 per year.
