Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Rock Hill, SC seeks an Electrical Engineer II to provide design and analysis for nuclear products and projects. The role reports to the Manager, Large Project Electrical Systems & Equipment and is located in Rock Hill with a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities include electrical system design, instrumentation and controls, and coordinating with other departments to complete assignments. Travel to client sites is required, with a base salary range discussed below.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience.
  • Willing to travel to client sites.
  • Meet criteria for access to technologies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of power plant systems and equipment.
  • Experience with power projects.
  • Experience developing procurement specifications and reviewing proposals.

  • Develop engineering design documents, evaluations, and specifications for operating plants.
  • Resolve issues with client and site personnel to ensure project success.

About the Role:

As an Electrical Engineer II you will provide engineering design and analysis for nuclear products and projects.

You will report to the Manager, Large Project Electrical Systems & Equipment and be located in Rock Hill, SC. You will be hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use intermediate knowledge obtained from previous applicable experience and core college courses.
  • Work with Software Packages such as ETAP, Mathcad, Maximo, or similar.
  • Provide engineering design and analysis for nuclear products/projects including electrical system design, instrumentation and controls designs, and system wiring.
  • Work with other internal departments on similar engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments.
  • Plan and schedule work to meet assignment requirements.
  • Use standards, techniques, procedures, and criteria for development of engineering design documents including technical evaluations, obsolete parts equivalencies, calculations, and specifications necessary to support operating plants.
  • Work with other internal departments on similar engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments.
  • Work with client and site personnel to resolve issues germane to project success.
  • Plan and scheduling work to meet assignment requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Willing to travel to client sites
  • You will be asked to meet the criteria for access to our, partners', and clients' technologies
  • Demonstrate knowledge of power plant systems and equipment
  • Experience with power projects
  • Experience developing procurement specifications for various electrical commodities and reviewing proposals

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $69,200 to $86,500 per year.
