Job summary
engineeringjobs.net, Inc. in Fort Collins, CO seeks an Electrical Engineer to develop and maintain materials specifications, construction standards, and equipment guidance for the electric distribution system.
The role includes analyzing failures, supporting bids and planning, and reviewing work of junior engineers; ABET-accredited degree required; two years of distribution experience preferred; Electrical PE registration is desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited institution or equivalent education/experience.
- Two years of progressively responsible electric power distribution engineering experience preferred.
- Candidates should have knowledge of electric utility engineering and strong analytical, communication, technical writing, software, and customer service skills; PE registration desired.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain electrical materials specifications, construction standards, and equipment guidance for the electric distribution system.
- Analyze equipment failures and recommend reliability improvements.
- Provide technical support and training to staff, assist with bids and system planning.
- Review the work of lower-level engineers.
