Job summary

Verustruct is hiring an Electrical Engineer I to design, build, and program the electronics at the core of our robotic construction platform. You will own defined boards and firmware features and work with senior engineers toward full subsystems, in a fast-paced startup setting at our Torrance headquarters.

This early-career role offers hands-on ownership, from schematic to field deployment, with opportunities to grow as Verustruct scales its robotic construction technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechatronics, or a closely related field.
• Experience designing circuit boards in KiCad or Altium Designer.
• Embedded C/C++ programming on microcontrollers; ability to read datasheets and reference manuals.

Responsibilities

• Design motor-driver, sensor-interface, and power-distribution boards from schematic to PCB layout and assembly.
• Write and debug embedded firmware for motor control and sensor interfaces.
• Design wiring harnesses and enclosures for harsh construction-site environments.
• Bring up prototype boards and firmware; test with standard bench instruments.
• Collaborate with mechanical, controls, and software teams to integrate electronics and firmware.
