Job summary

Mastercraft Boat Company LLC in Nashville, TN seeks an Electrical Engineer I to translate customer needs into manufacturable marine electrical designs. You will define requirements, create wiring harness specs, and generate prints for boat releases.

The role requires ABYC-based electrical design, testing and certification alignment, plus collaboration with propulsion, design and manufacturing teams to ensure safe, reliable systems throughout development and production.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Training in CAD and ability to produce 2D drawings, schematics and wire lists.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling software (Rhino, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Working knowledge of PC based software (Word, Excel, AutoCad, etc.).
• Minimum of 2 years experience in marine, transportation or product design with knowledge of production processes.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements and component specifications for panels, wiring harnesses and electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards or obtain certification/testing.
• Conceive new electrical and electronic system designs for manufacturability.
• Interface with propulsion, systems, design and manufacturing groups for layouts.
• Generate engineering drawings and approve electrical prints for boat release.
• Review and approve ABYC load calculations for AC/DC systems.
