Job summary

The City of Wilson seeks Electrical Engineer I–III professionals to support its electrical transmission and distribution system. The roles focus on safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy delivery across multiple substations and projects.

Responsibilities include relay setting, equipment maintenance, project management, SCADA support, and staff training. Candidates must be licensed drivers and reside in Wilson County, NC, with ABET-accredited degree backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (ABET-accredited).
• Experience sufficient to understand subordinate positions and resolve problems.
• Must reside in Wilson County, NC and have a valid NC driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains relay settings for substation protection devices.
• Assist with construction, renovation, and maintenance of distribution and transmission substations.
• Provide project management for small to large projects and safety training.
