Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in Houston is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to support energy-efficient building solutions and client outcomes from the start of your career. You will learn under experienced engineers and mentor designers as you grow.

You will begin with load calculations, system sizing, and equipment selection, then progressively lead projects, write specifications, and participate in meetings with clients and other consultants during construction.

Qualifications

ABET accredited BSEE/BSAE in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
Minimum GPA of 2.5.
Non-academic internship.
Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred.
EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus.
Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform load calculations, determine system sizing and layouts.
Calculate equipment sizes and select equipment.
Complete field surveys and review equipment shop drawings.
Lead electrical project teams and write specifications as you gain experience.
Participate in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and support construction-phase work.
