Sierra Nevada Company, LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer I in Colorado Springs, hybrid or in office. You will contribute to early design and development of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense projects.

Join a multi-disciplinary team in the IAS business area, working under senior engineers. The role involves basic circuit design, testing, documentation, and collaboration to meet safety and performance goals. Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 0-2+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
  • Basic understanding of electrical/electronic design and testing principles.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools and multi-disciplinary teams.

As an Electrical Engineer I, you will be involved in the initial phases of research, design, and development of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense applications. You will assist in the design of integrated electrical/electronic systems, contributing to various stages of the product lifecycle under the guidance of senior engineers.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Internship or project experience in electrical engineering.

  • Familiarity withComputer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.

  • Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.

  • Knowledge of electrical component selection and manufacturing.

  • Understanding of circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.

  • Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $64,853.15 - $89,173.08. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
