Job summary

Amcor is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to provide electrical engineering support for production operations and ongoing machine and equipment controls improvement.

The role involves assisting maintenance technicians, managing upgrade projects, and learning new capital equipment operation and design. You will work with project teams and safety initiatives to continuously improve efficiency and safety across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required.
• 0–2 years of manufacturing or related experience preferred.
• Electrical Code training or safety training seminars are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as electrical engineering resource to assist Maintenance Technicians with machine control problems.
• Manage machine/equipment upgrade projects including investigations, cost estimates, installations, and start-up.
• Learn capital equipment operation, controls design, and hardware to support maintenance.
• Assist Project Engineering with installation, checkout, start-up and training.
• Support safety by applying industry codes and arc-flash standards.
• Document observations, testing and follow-up actions for substations and switchgear.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to improve operations (safety, quality, service, costs).
