Paragon Engineering Services - Electrical Engineer Job Description

Paragon Engineering Services is a professional engineering firm providing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services to contractors, architects, owners, and other engineering firms. We serve clients across commercial, corporate, government, healthcare, industrial, telecommunications, and utility markets.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Perform engineering calculations, develop plans and specifications under the guidance of a lead engineer (PE).
  2. Complete projects on time and within budget.
  3. Assist in marketing, sales efforts, and construction cost estimating.
  4. Coordinate and direct the work of designers and drafters.
  5. Design electrical systems, write specifications, coordinate between disciplines, conduct field surveys, and prepare documentation, design reports, and analyses.
  6. Design electrical systems for various facilities including commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, educational, and municipal.
  7. Interact with vendors regarding parts supply and proposals.
  8. Carry out engineering assignments with clear objectives involving plans and specifications.
  9. Provide input to other engineering departments.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • EIT certification is a plus.
  • Must demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills for marketing, leadership, and coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT.
  • Soft skills include a positive attitude, flexibility, and conflict resolution.
  • Detail-oriented mindset committed to accuracy and precision in assessments and reporting.
Other Considerations:
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods, reach, lift (up to 25 pounds), bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push, and pull.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
