Job summary

Legence is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Consulting) to join our nationwide teams in a hybrid role. You will design high‑performance electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and healthcare facilities, collaborate with architects, owners, and contractors, and lead projects from concept through construction.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering, have MEP consulting experience, and are proficient with AutoCAD; Revit is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in MEP consulting engineering (senior level varies).
• Experience designing electrical systems for commercial, institutional, or healthcare projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit preferred.
• Familiarity with NEC and building codes.
• FE/EIT registration preferred; PE licensure a plus.
• Healthcare codes (HCAI/OSHPD) and Net Zero/ sustainability experience a plus.
• LEED Accreditation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting and controls, emergency power, UPS, and low‑voltage systems.
• Review drawings, schematics, and specifications; ensure conformance with contract documents.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and internal teams.
• Lead small to medium projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Participate in client engagement and business development activities.
