Job summary

Procon is seeking an Electrical Engineer in Huntington, WV to support healthcare facility modernization, renovation, and new construction projects. You will oversee electrical infrastructure, act as a technical advisor, and support QA, commissioning, and compliance activities.

Ideal candidates have NEC/NFPA knowledge, design-construction experience, and ability to coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required.
Minimum of 6 years of professional electrical engineering experience.
Minimum of 3 years in field construction management or oversight.
Experience supporting design and construction phases of facility projects.
Active PE registration preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Review electrical designs, drawings, calculations, and submittals for compliance.
Evaluate electrical system integration and sequencing to minimize operational impacts.
Provide technical recommendations on construction approaches and value engineering.
Perform field inspections to verify compliance with docs and codes.
Witness equipment startup and commissioning activities.
Assist with cost estimating, budgets, and progress reporting.
Prepare inspection reports and project documentation.
Support commissioning of electrical distribution, generators, UPS, lighting, fire alarm, telecoms.
