Electrical Engineer – Generation Senior Level

Job Summary

POWER Engineers, a member of WSP, is seeking a Senior Generation Electrical Engineer to work in our Generation Electrical Department. Openings are available in Boise, ID; Overland Park, KS; and Oradell, NJ offices.

Responsibilities Include

• Lead electrical engineer on design of power generation projects
• Lead electrical engineer on design of renewable energy projects
• Lead electrical engineer on power plant and switchyard electrical system upgrades
• Lead electrical engineer on federal electrical system upgrades
• Mentor and teach junior and mid-level engineers
• Develop project proposals and budgets

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
• Electrical PE License
• 15-30 years of experience leading teams in power generation projects
• 15+ years of detailed design engineering experience in power generation, including calculations and equipment specifications
• 10+ years of relay coordination and schematic design experience
• Proficiency in CAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software

Desired Education/Experience

• Master of Science or MBA
• Onsite construction support experience
