Job summary

Craig Technologies at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston seeks a Laboratory Operations Technician with an electrical engineering background to design and certify subsystems for human spaceflight. You will develop and maintain professional relationships and support flight hardware projects across NASA directorates including the International Space Station, Orion, and Human Landing System.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, fabrication support, and verification, requiring a BS in EE and 5+

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience as an electrical engineer, with at least 3 years in flight hardware development.
  • Prior NASA experience or NASA contractor preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in working within complex projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of Printed Circuit Board layout (Altium).

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical, data, and power subsystems including component identification, part selection, circuit design and layout.
  • Support the engineering development lifecycle from concept to certification.
  • Support verification and closure of requirements including design review and test data interpretation.
  • Apply standard and advanced engineering techniques and provide engineering solutions.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership through project reviews and customer meetings.
  • Deliver high quality products that meet customer requirements within cost and schedule.
