Burns Engineering, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer to support our Facilities & Infrastructure team in New York City. The role focuses on technical studies, design & coordination across disciplines to deliver complex infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate holds a P.E. license with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5–10 years of related experience, with healthcare project exposure preferred but not required, contributing to high-quality client deliverables.

Qualifications

• Professional licensure as an engineer with a Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years of related experience.
• Healthcare project experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical activities on assigned projects and adhere to discipline policies and procedures.
• Produce technical studies, investigations and designs for assigned projects.
• Provide technical production direction to Designers and CAD Operators.
• Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and to high technical quality.
• Assist in development of design approaches and concepts with senior staff.
• Coordinate project designs with other disciplines and attend project meetings.
• Support proposal and client presentation efforts as needed.
• Participate in project budget, cost estimates, and schedules with Project Manager.
• Review shop drawings and coordinate with suppliers, contractors and clients.
• Support on-site inspections during construction and communicate design requirements.
