Job summary

Burns Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Facilities & Infrastructure team in New York City.

The role involves performing technical activities, developing designs, and guiding CAD staff to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. Ideal candidates will be a licensed Professional Engineer with a BS in engineering and 5–10 years of related experience, with healthcare project experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer with BS in engineering and 5-10 years related experience
• Healthcare project experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform technical activities on assigned projects and adhere to discipline policies
• Produce technical studies, investigations and designs for projects
• Provide technical production direction to Designers and CAD Operators
• Coordinate project designs with other disciplines and participate in project meetings
• Assist in development of design approaches, budgets, cost estimates and schedules
• Review shop drawings and communicate with suppliers, contractors and clients
• Conduct on-site inspections during construction and coordinate design requirements with contractors
