Job summary

UCSF Health's Facilities Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer to operate independently on major construction projects, performing design engineering, monitoring and troubleshooting of electrical distribution and energy management systems.

Responsibilities include reviewing project plans, specifications for new and retrofit projects, and designing electrical distribution, utility systems, and related equipment, coordinating with departments to meet schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related) and 3–5 years of related experience or equivalent training.
• Professional engineering license required.
• Strong project management skills to ensure timely completion of design and construction projects.
• Ability to lead and influence others.

Responsibilities

• Design, monitor and troubleshoot electrical distribution work for facilities and campus projects.
• Review project plans and specifications for new and retrofit projects.
• Develop system drawings such as one-lines, block diagrams, layout drawings and electrical schematics.
• Collaborate with departments and engineering specialties to meet goals on time and within budget.
