Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Electrical Engineer in the Williamsburg, Virginia area to lead and oversee multiple complex facilities projects designed to meet customer requirements. The role requires strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills to manage programs under tight deadlines and high pressure situations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 2 years of applicable experience, and a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph; PE certification and PM credentials are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering.
• 2 years' experience applying substantive electrical engineering in facilities operations.
• Current TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Start-up, testing, troubleshooting and design of analog and digital control systems and facilities systems.
• Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs; direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support and testing activities.
• Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies and projects.
• Conduct field surveys and study maps, graphs, diagrams and other data to identify and correct power system problems.
• Design, implement, maintain and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products and systems.
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and safety standards.
• Oversee maintenance, repair and inspections of all equipment and mechanical rooms.
• Coordinate maintenance and electrical work requests and projects.
