Job Summary:

Create a practical, technically sufficient, and economically sound design for assigned products based on electrical and mechanical specifications. Responsible for performance requirements, load analysis, and design element interactions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Arrange electrical and mechanical details and prepare initial design layouts.
  2. Assist in preparing final layouts and working drawings.
  3. Perform load analysis of electrical systems to ensure compliance with requirements.
  4. Learn to use multiplex application software for troubleshooting.
  5. Understand OEM chassis electrical interfaces for integration into designs.
Qualifications:
  • Experience with problem-solving techniques and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with employees and management.
  • High energy and strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in PC skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and instructions.
  • Effective presentation skills for small groups.
Education and Experience:
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
  • Two years of experience in vehicle or truck chassis manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with CAD, preferably AutoCAD.
Physical Demands:

Must meet physical requirements such as standing, walking, handling objects, and lifting up to 40 lbs. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.

Work Environment:

Primarily indoor office work, with occasional work on the plant floor.
