We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our IG Consulting team within the Applied Engineering Services practice. This role will ensure grid reliability and compliance by managing our client's interconnection projects in the SPP ( Southwest Power Pool) area. Our client aims to reduce their project backlog, expedite the study process, and facilitate faster plant connections. Applicants typically include developers of solar farms, battery energy storage systems (BESS), industrial loads, wind farms, and other projects.
The Project Engineer will serve as the liaison between developers, SPP, and our client's interconnection team, ensuring projects run smoothly, on time, and efficiently through the SPP queue. Responsibilities include extensive documentation and communication, keeping our client, Evergreen, SPP, and developers aligned throughout the process.
The Project Engineer will oversee generation projects through the study process, managing developer requests that can span multiple years, handling issues with developers, and more. Key responsibilities include replicating work processes, ensuring all information presented to Our client, SPP, and Developers are accurate, managing sometimes multiple projects with developers, and coordinating interconnection studies. The Project Engineer will act as a liaison with teams, ensuring developers meet deadlines and compliance requirements, and manage projects, deadlines, and KPIs.
