Job summary

HDR is seeking an Electrical Engineer EIT/Coordinator in our Denver, Colorado office to design electrical power and lighting systems for healthcare, higher education, renewable energy, and data center facilities. You will perform detailed design under the guidance of senior engineers and collaborate across disciplines.

This on-site role emphasizes field investigations, calculations, and startup support, with occasional travel in the Colorado/Rocky Mountain region.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
Desire to pursue registration.
Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power.
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
EIT certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical engineering and design assignments under the guidance and mentorship of senior staff electrical engineers.
Prepare electrical diagrams, cable and panel schedules, electrical site plans and lighting plans.
Conduct field investigations and condition assessments, make construction observations, and assist in startup and commissioning of new systems.
Participate in portions of the engineering work for major projects, or several smaller but complex projects.
Occasional short-term travel (typically 1-5 days) is necessary.
