Impulse Space in Redondo Beach is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Digital) at all levels to own architecture, design, and bring-up of custom digital boards for software defined radios. You will work with RF engineers, RF software engineers, mechanical engineers, and others to meet test needs across high-speed digital interfaces such as DDR4/5, PCIe, and SERDES, using FPGAs and memory interfaces.

As an Electrical Engineer (Digital), your core responsibility will be to own architecture, design, and bringup of custom digital circuit boards for software defined radios. You will work with RF engineers, RF software engineers, mechanical engineers, and others to meet test needs across a wide range of capabilities. You will work on uplink and downlink software defined radios utilizing FPGAs, memory interfaces, high speed digital peripherals, and analog to digital converters. You will have the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of spacecraft electronics development, from architecting new systems to building and operating them. (Leveling will be commensurate with experience).
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case‑related basis and may vary based on job‑related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full‑time hires, you may also be eligible for long‑term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
Impulse Space’s spacecraft manufacturing business is subject to U.S. export regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
