Job summary

Solutions AEC, a design/build-focused engineering firm in Phoenix, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the planning, design, and delivery of electrical systems for diverse projects. You will develop power distribution, lighting, and control solutions while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring code compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on design leadership, collaboration, and applying emerging digital tools to improve workflows and client value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (8+ years building systems design) or 12+ years electrical design experience in built environment.
• Experience creating one-line diagrams and distribution equipment layouts.
• Power device layout and coordination including receptacles, disconnects, junction boxes, etc.
• Lighting design, control systems, fixture schedules, and energy code compliance.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office; familiar with engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, coordination, and production of electrical construction documents for various project types.
• Design power distribution, lighting, and electrical systems for safe, efficient facilities.
• Prepare calculations, diagrams, equipment schedules, and specs; ensure code compliance.
• Conduct field surveys, site assessments, and support renovation projects.
• Mentor and guide engineers and designers; review design documents for quality.
