Job summary
Schlumberger Limited in Sugar Land, TX is seeking an Electrical Engineer to assist in developing innovative electrical designs and sustaining improved techniques. You will build prototypes, run lab simulations, and analyze results to support product commercialization and field deployments.
The role requires 3–5 years of experience in electrical engineering, a degree in electrical engineering, and advanced certifications (Masters or PhD preferred).
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of electrical engineering experience.
- Experience with electrical design, analysis and testing.
- Strong fundamentals in power electronics and system design.
- Familiarity with US standards and documentation practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and organizing requirements for electrical designs and architectures.
- Analyze, design, develop and maintain electrical designs and support their commercialization.
- Build prototypes and systems for testing; set up lab simulations and document results.
- Provide timely analyses on failed components and develop solutions.
- Create and maintain product documentation; support field and customers.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide technicians as needed.

Responsibilities
Assistinidentifyingand organizing requirementsforelectricaldesignsandarchitectures. Apply relevant usability procedures and principles.
Analyze, design, develop andmaintainelectrical designsandassistin their commercialization.
Build prototypes,productsand systems suitable for testing. Set up and run lab simulations. Design and implement tests, documentresultsand develop customer presentations. Providetimelyanalysisonfailed components and providesolutions.
Produce analyses andelectricalmodels, and draw design conclusions based on those.
Conduct orparticipatein technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs,codeand other artifacts. Contribute to design standards and support design re-use.
Create andmaintainproduct documentation. Provide support tofieldand customers through InTouch. Provide user training asrequired.
Assign, direct and review work of technicians and provide guidance tootherengineers.With seniority, mentor junior engineers.
Continually evaluate engineering approaches andrisk.
Author technical reports, papers, articles,patentsand presentations. Shareexpertisevia Eureka and special interest groups. Expand informalnetworkthroughout the organization.
Keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets. Adopt newpractices readilyto develop innovative and low-cost products.
Maintain familiarity with company technology,organizationand business.
Comply withSarbanes-Oxley requirements as defined in the risk control matrix.
