Job summary

L&T Technology Services in Florence, SC is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a solid background in low voltage switchgear and power systems. The role emphasizes design, installation oversight, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, prefer a PE license, and have hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Modbus/TCP/IP, and PLC-based control schemes for data center applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
  • PE license preferred.
  • Experience with low voltage switchboard/switchgear design, installation and use.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal codes for switchboards/switchgear.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience with data center power systems design.
  • Knowledge of Modbus, TCP/IP, and Ethernet protocols.
  • Experience generating bills of materials and modifying standard assemblies.
  • Ability to research designs and construction methods.

Responsibilities

  • Create designs and design optimal power systems / DC power systems.
  • Design of switchgear configurations and control schemes, utilizing PLCs/relays.
  • Generate bills of material and modify standard assemblies as required to satisfy the application.
  • Review and approve electrical product submittals.
  • Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to and during construction phases.
